I went, I got Rory to go with me, I talked too much bout my iPhone. I took 3 pictures though and got a chance to show Rory some older dining establishments in Delaware, the Dog House in New Castle and Charcoal Pit in Wilmington. Although I brought my camera, I took zero pictures with it, although did get some with my phone. The first is at Kelly’s Logan House, and I was showing an app that I found funny, the other two are at Charcoal Pit.
and, it hit me kind of hard. It reminded me of parts of the movie Shallow Hal. In the end, it’s what you want, and who you want to be with, that you need to approve of. Not what others think. If you want to be happy in life, you need to find what makes you happy and hold on to it. If you want to look for what makes others approve of you, will you ever be happy? No, not if anything you like is not approved. My grandparents were always so adamant to teach my cousins and I that we have to be ourselves to be happy. It took me a long time to finally believe this and stick to it. I have come to a point in my life where I don’t care what others think, and strangely enough, I believe more people like me and approve of me now than ever before. Rule to take away from this, be yourself, and look for your own approval in life. Never be ashamed of yourself and your choices in life.
