I saw the midnight showing with some friends, and it was an enjoyable movie. Very little of the 3D felt forced, as in them throwing the 3D right at you, besides that it felt well done and appropriate. The Mad Hatter came off a little strong and at times, made me realize it was Johnny Depp, and for a few cases, reminded me of Jack Sparrow. All in all a great story, well done visuals, and believable.

I went, I got Rory to go with me, I talked too much bout my iPhone. I took 3 pictures though and got a chance to show Rory some older dining establishments in Delaware, the Dog House in New Castle and Charcoal Pit in Wilmington. Although I brought my camera, I took zero pictures with it, although did get some with my phone. The first is at Kelly’s Logan House, and I was showing an app that I found funny, the other two are at Charcoal Pit.

and, it hit me kind of hard. It reminded me of parts of the movie Shallow Hal. In the end, it’s what you want, and who you want to be with, that you need to approve of. Not what others think. If you want to be happy in life, you need to find what makes you happy and hold on to it. If you want to look for what makes others approve of you, will you ever be happy? No, not if anything you like is not approved. My grandparents were always so adamant to teach my cousins and I that we have to be ourselves to be happy. It took me a long time to finally believe this and stick to it. I have come to a point in my life where I don’t care what others think, and strangely enough, I believe more people like me and approve of me now than ever before. Rule to take away from this, be yourself, and look for your own approval in life. Never be ashamed of yourself and your choices in life.

This past Saturday, the 30th, Rebecca and I were going to go to the Art Museum in Allentown. This was delayed on week. This in the end seems to have been a blessing in disguise. The snow from yesterday would have been a substantial issue on driving back. A week is definitely worth waiting. I am excited and looking forward to it. She’s a pretty cool person and fun to talk to.

Have you ever have one of those days where you just wake up with a smile on your face for no reason at all and are simply happy? I swear I have had a week of mornings like this. I am not a morning person, but something has definitely changed me. I feel very happy lately, and I like it.

I had almost forgotten

Have you ever had one of those dreams where you experience a feeling/sensation that you had all but forgotten had existed. I did. Just this morning I hit a point of the most heartfelt happiness. Like a long lost love and joy. For that moment, I felt happy and whole. After turning around in the dream to help pack, I am pulled out by the phone ringing. As I awake, I can still feel the happiness from the dream, but as time goes on, the emotion changes . I feel angry for losing the feeling, then sad, and finally complacent and hopeful to feel it again in my life and not in a dream. It is this hope that keeps me motivated in my personal life. I need to remember not to be easily discouraged and to continue to try for things that are indeed worth it. Also, the image above, is what fell off my shelf and I awoke with it next to my hand this morning. Random indeed.
