Hitman

November 25th, 2007

This past Saturday Erik and I saw Hitman in Wilmington. He calls it cheesy goodness. I say I really liked it and felt it fairly well done. Vin Diesel was the Co producer for the film, I found that to be interesting. At one point a girl mentions she was sold on the black market for $300.00 Dollars American and I burst out with “Thats dirt cheap!”. It took me a bit to get used to Timothy Olyphant playing Agent 47, the Hitman, but I still fell he pulled it of well. My rating, a solid Rating: ★★☆ s.

Dan in Real Life

November 11th, 2007

Last night Amanda and I saw Dan in Real Life. It turned out to be a very good movie. The acting was very well done and the humor was well placed. In fact I felt Dane Cook even did a good job as an actor. It was witty, appropriately dramatic, and realistic in its shenanigans. I would recommend this movie to just about everyone I know. Fully worth a full priced ticket, although I felt it to be a bit on the short side. I loved the quote “This corn is like an angel.” I give it Rating: ★★½ .

Saw 4

I saw Saw IV this past Friday. It was uselessly gory. Its story line did not seem to flow well, and the end was seen about 10 – 15 minutes before it happened. I saw it coming, no surprise. I think it came off better than the first moveie, but not the second. Total rating on my scale … Rating: ★½☆ . Recommended for matinée.

The Comebacks

I saw the comebacks last week. It was as stupid as I had expected and just about met all other expectations. It gets Rating: ★☆☆ in my book.

Balls of Fury

October 5th, 2007

I don’t care what anyone says, any movie with Christopher Walken in it is boundto be a good movie. I have never seen in in a movie that I would call bad. I will say this also only hit a Rating: ★★☆ on my scale, but was genuinely enjoyable. I do recommend it, but hit a matinee if you can.

Resident Evil Extinction

October 5th, 2007

I saw this Movie in Ocean City, MD. I felt it was better than the second, but not as good as the first. It willed in a lot of things from the second and added soem new characters form the game storyline. My Rating: ★★☆ .

Mr. Beans Holiday

October 5th, 2007

I don’t care what others said about this movie. I watched it in a theatre, unfortunately I was the only person in the theatre. I felt it had a good storyline, kept me smiling throughout the movie and even had something after the credits. MyRating: ★★☆ Not bad, not bad at all.

Transformers

I saw the move just tonight. All I can say is that was filppin awesome. They held pretty close to the original feel. The story was pretty good and the effects complemented it well. I give it a Rating: ★★★ on the Big Ed Scale. It out does Spiderman 3 in my book. I highly recommend seeing it. I think I might actually be seeing it again. Stay through the first part of the credits for a few extra bits, but there is nothing after the credits. Go Now!

I don’t care what you say about this movie. I loved it. I saw it twice. My GF thought it was great. I mean really, how can you go wrong with zombies, comedy, and horror. I will never not like this movie. I think everyone I know should go see this movie. I hope for a sequel. It is definitely good enough to have a second. Rating: ★★★
