Christmas Eve 2009

December 24th, 2009

So, Amanda does this thing called Fun Wrapping. She will wrap a gift tightly with tape on any loose edge of wrapping paper, effectively sealing it. She then does this 2 more times, so you have 3 layers of paper. She does switch it up sometimes so this year, I thought I would up her one. So this morning I spoke to her and in casual conversation asked her if she liked peanut butter, she said yes. In the shopping we did on Tuesday, she picked out two things from me to her, one box had a necklace and a set of earrings, the other has about 5 or 6 sets of earrings, including a Candy Cane set. She wanted them to wear on Christmas day so I agreed to do the exchange this morning. I then took the earrings she wanted and placed them under the cardboard insert on the first box. I wrapped the box she wanted to open, then saran wrapped it, then taped it with clear packing tape, then coated it in peanut butter, then saran wrapped that, then taped that with clear packing tape, then wrapped that in wrapping paper. So she spent 13 minuted to open the box that “had” the candy cane earrings in it to find them not in there.

Way to take fun wrapping to the next level, Ed… Can’t wait to get you back on your b-day. It’s on!
