A Day at the Zoo

November 19th, 2007

Recently Amanda and I headed up to the Philadelphia zoo. We decided to have the day “Old School”, so I packed my lunch, 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a fruit snack, and 2 Capri Suns. I loaded all of that into a ThunderCats lunch box. Awesome. Amanda was originally all for the idea but at the last minute decided to get WaWa for lunch on the way. We drove their with little problems. Parking was $10.00. We saw a lot of animals while there. My favourites were the jungle cats and some of the frogs. The vampire bats were kinda cool too. While we were eating lunch in a picnic area a Peacock came to us. Amanda gave it a piece of bread. I tossed out a fruit snack. Surprisingly it ate that. Then Amanda gave it a piece of turkey from her sub. I argued that it was not ok, that it was comparable to feeding me an Ethiopian. The Peacock in question shows up around Photo 59 or so. There was another one we saw earlier in the day though. You can see what we saw below:

Did she really feed turkey to a peacock?! LOL! That’s like cannibolism.
